1914

Short lived precursor

Before the Great War, the Lymington River Sailing Club was first formed by Capt HH Nicholson, but subsequent world events curtailed activities.

We don’t know where this incarnation of the LRSC had any physical base.

1922

Blakes the first Clubhouse

The Conservatory at “Blakes” – Major Cyril Potter’s house on Undershore Road was the first gathering place for members before the First World War.
